AHT Regional Impact Fund

The Affordable Housing Trust

Regional Impact Fund

Expanding AHT's capacity to further it's mission in an eight-county region of central Ohio by providing financing to AHT for investment in developments designed to:

  • Create and preserve affordable rental housing
  • Strengthen and stabilize neighborhoods
  • Support working households, seniors and special needs populations

“The $60 million AHT Regional Housing Fund is more than an investment—it's an opportunity for our community. By creating affordable homeownership and rental options, stabilizing neighborhoods and providing support for our vulnerable communities, this fund is a catalyst for positive transformation and improving lives.”

~Connie Hawk, Licking County Housing Investment Fund

In January 2020, AHT closed the $100 million Housing Action Fund (HAF).

The HAF is a revolving loan facility designed to address the affordable and workforce housing needs in Columbus and Franklin County. Over the last three years, the HAF has created and preserved over 2,200 units, deployed $80 million and has leveraged an estimated $433 million in new economic activity, which may sustain over 3,700 jobs.

AHT will duplicate the success of the HAF with the RIF, but on a regional level. The RIF provides a flexible source of dollars that expands the resources available for investment in affordable housing development within an eight-county area, including Franklin and the contiguous counties and Knox county.
