Christopher Pettis, NCARB

Christopher Pettis, NCARB is a nationally certified Architect (NY#042427; OH#2218893) with over 10 years of experience designing and managing complex projects of all typologies located around the world. He grew up in Dayton, Ohio, then studied at Miami University, before moving to NYC to start his career. After 7 years of working for Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) and desiring more control over the projects he was designing, Chris began a career pivot into CRE. He returned home to invest in Central Ohio, and shortly after, founded nSCALE Design & Development, a pre-development and owner’s rep consulting firm, with plans for development through strategic partnerships and fund management in the near future.

nSCALE, now a dedicated team of four, operates at the intersection of architecture and development by incorporating rigorous financial analysis and market research, along with industry standard conceptual design and planning services. It’s feasibility studies provide a tiered approach, ensuring that clients can assess the worthiness of continuing the study at every stage -- saving both time and money.

nSCALE’s business model is centered on cultivating enduring partnerships with developers, builders, and property owners. To provide even more value, it’s now in the preliminary stages of creating its first investment fund which aims to deploy pre-development equity capital as a minority General Partner, in projects led by experienced Sponsors in its network of clients and partners.

Chris hopes to gain even more knowledge and life-long connections through EDAP.
